Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle in 2010.

Solution: Project Management

As part of a global strategy, Sun Microsystems centralized operations into several Campuses around the country. We were engaged to provide project management for information services, voice communications, cable plant and server deployment for the Broomfield, Colorado Campus. When completed, the Broomfield campus encompassed 72 acres, 1.2 million square feet and housed 4000 people.

As the only information services project management consultant for the campus, worked directly with Sun Project Management, vendors, suppliers, and construction trades. Retained lead responsibility for ensuring the delivery of all communications related services for several buildings, all labs, education, and conference centers. In addition, was asked to assist in security systems, as well as, video installation and design.

Assisted in managing the implementation of voice communications (PBX and Voice Network), LAN and WAN networks, and Servers. This required coordination with the Sun information services staff.  Responsibilities also included direct oversight of the cable plant installation.
