CASE STUDY: SUN MICROSYSTEMS

Challenge:
Campus Closure

Founded in 1982, Sun Microsystems, Inc. emerged as a global Fortune 500 leader in enterprise network computing with over $8 billion in revenues and operations in 150 countries.  Sun is a worldwide supplier of hardware and software for the computing industry. Sun solutions enable organizations to integrate and leverage information resources across the enterprise and around the world.  Sun's vision is for a networked computing future driven by the needs and choices of the customer.

Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle in 2010.

Solution: Analysis and Audit

Performed Analysis and Audit of telecommunications services acquired as a result of the Sun Microsystems acquisition of Storage-Tek. To ensure a successful transition from the Louisville campus to the Broomfield campus, identified circuits to be

moved as well as circuits to be disconnected when the Louisville campus closed. This complex project required analysis of multiple carriers served via disparate pathways, and resulted in over $300,000 of annual savings at one location.
